Light Therapy

Light therapy, also known as phototherapy, is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to treat various conditions. It involves exposing the skin to artificial light sources that mimic natural sunlight.

Light therapy has been shown to be effective in treating seasonal affective disorder (SAD), depression, sleep disorders, and skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. It can also be used to alleviate symptoms of jet lag and improve mood and energy levels.

In various cultures and practices, light therapy has been used for centuries. For example, ancient Egyptians used sunlight to treat various ailments, while traditional Chinese medicine uses light therapy to stimulate acupoints. In modern times, light therapy has become a popular alternative therapy in Western countries and is often used in conjunction with traditional medical treatments.
